This 164-page all-color book is chocked full of handy ideas for your model railroad of any scale, as well as imaginative hints, solid tips, and numerous well-composed color photographs. In all, there are 33 projects that are presented from painting backdrops, to using LEDs to light background buildings on a layout, modeling a rusty automobile junkyard, creating scenery from foam, casting plaster rocks, modeling streets and highways, making a retaining wall, using layered foliage, building an animated grade crossing, and even constructing a portable branch line.
Knowledge of how to build a better layout is often gained through experts who have sifted through many diverse ideas and come up with the best solutions: that’s the essence of this detailed modeling book, offering the reader the best methods and ideas gained from years of experience by seasoned modelers. A total of 33 various projects are detailed that cover a wide gamut of modeling ideas and provide a thorough discussion in text, color photos and excellent drawings.
