Two Ninety DVD

Atlanta & West Point 290 is a heavy Pacific type and was built in 1926 by Lima Locomotive. It is the newest steam locomotive to operate on the New Georgia Railroad.

This video captures the Ex-A&WP 290 on mainline runs from Atlanta to Macon and Savannah Georgia, as well as a trip to Stone Mountain. This train looks like a typical passenger train from the late 1940’s due to no auxiliary water tank or diesels trailing.
