This all-important 1”-thick Lionel pricing guide is something every dedicated Lionel fan should obtain, especially if he or she is concerned about buying or selling part or all of a Lionel train collection. Also, it’s just fun to look through this 5 1/4" x 8 1/4” 448-page bible to learn about sequencing of product numbers, the years Lionel products were produced, and any variations in Lionel trains and accessories that you may not know about. The book becomes especially useful when you travel to a railroad show and want to know what you should expect to pay for Lionel-produced trains and accessories.
To make the book easier to understand and use, the frontal pages explain generally what is listed in the book, under what circumstances you might want to consult its pages, understanding the various values shown, prices to expect with original packaging of an item, how to look for various conditions of items (junk, restoration, poor, fair, good, very good, excellent, like new and factory new), and a section that delineates different production years from 1901 to 2022. Of course, determining the condition of items is a key component of the book, and those important explanations are included.
Each page lists the Lionel item number, a short description of the item, the year or years it was manufactured, and the suggested prices for many Excellent condition and all Mint condition items.
