Have you ever wondered what Milwaukee, Racine & Troy rolling stock would have looked like in the steam era? So did we! 40-foot single-sheathed boxcar No. 3401 (era: July 1928+) uses Accurail’s 7100-series tooling and has the MR&T’s original square herald.
The boxcar features a one-piece body with a separate, factory-installed brake wheel and running board casting. The stirrup steps, grab irons, ladders, and tack boards are molded.
The underbody has molded floorboard, crossmember, and lateral detail with separate fish-belly center sills. The air reservoir, brake cylinder, control valve, and draft-gear box covers are freestanding parts.
Additional kit components include solid-bearing trucks with Delrin engineering plastic wheelsets, Accumate couplers with modeler-installed trip pins, a steel weight, and four 2-56 screws. An illustrated instruction sheet is included.
The boxcar, made in the United States of America, is offered in one road number.
