Peter Riddle operates an extensive O gauge layout and maintains an eclectic collection of toy trains. He has authored 8 novels, a textbook about American musical theater, and 14 books about model railroading. His areas of interest include scenery, track planning, wiring, and the history of toy trains. Peter shares the hobby with his wife Gay, who collects early clockwork trains and contributes her expertise to his books. They have two children and three grandchildren and make their home in Nova Scotia, Canada.
